SEMA youth prize

Presentation of the prize

SEMA Youth Prizes, in partnership with the Michelle and Antoine RIBOUD foundation, are destined to promote young upcoming talents, future players in the economic development of these highly-skilled trades.

They aim to encourage and to promote expert skills that are specific to the Arts and Crafts, through works produced by vocational high-school pupils, technical college students, sandwich course students and art students.

Its financial support has enabled the development of new schemes designed to promote exchange between prize-winners and to facilitate their integration into the professional scene. 


Who can enter for the prize? 

The following are entitled to enter:
  • Under 26 year olds, in full-time training or in an apprenticeship position.
  • Level V pupils in their exam year; these candidates enter the competition at a 'département' level.
  • Level IV and III pupils or students; these candidates enter the competition directly at the regional level.


Competition piece

Pupils or students entitled to enter the competition will be judged on a piece of their own work created in the context of their course.


How to enter

The entry form is completed with the head of establishment, who will then submit the applications to the Education Officer or to the Chief Education Officer (depending on the candidate's level). A duplicate will be submitted for the purpose of information to the SEMA delegate before May 31st 2007.

Next SEMA Youth prize 2007-2008,
in November.
